WHAT´S IT ABOUT?
Piscine Molitor Patel (Pi) is an Indian boy living in a zoo with his parents and his brother Ravi. On economic issues, his parents decide to sell the zoo and move to Canada to sell there animals and earn more money. Embark on a Japanese freighter, but suffer a shipwreck in which the whole family dies of Pi, and he is left alone in a lifeboat with a wounded zebra, a hyena, a monkey, a Bengal tiger, a rat and a few spiders. Gradually, the animals are dying, until there are only Pi and Richard Parker, the tiger. Our protagonist builds a boat with all that is within reach, and try to keep busy to avoid thinking, keep hope and not die.
Life of Pi is an adventure novel written by Canadian Yann Martel. In the story, the protagonist Piscine "Pi" Molitor Patel (in honor of "Piscine Molitor" a public pool in Paris), a young man from India, Pondicherry, explores religion, spirituality and feasible from an early age, and survives 227 days on a boat with a Bengal tiger after the sinking of his ship in the Pacific Ocean. This story is true that was told to the author by an Indian named Pi Patel while looking for inspiration for a new novel, before you tell the story, on Portugal.
because I find it a very interesting story as they tell the stories fantastic passing, mystery, action, everything is fantastic. I like.
